This is where our roots began. Thru his teens, then serving his country with the U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (Sea Bees), then starting out in business as a Carpentry Contractor in 1990, Bruce March, the founder of GMTF, has had a fascination working with wood.

As a child helping his father, also an accomplished craftsman with woodworking projects ranging from furniture building to restoring wagon-wheeled civil war cannons, instilled the “do it once, and do it right” method of building into his work ethics. Bruce instills the same methodology into every one of his craftsmen to this day, and accepts nothing less from them.

Our closer to home clients in Eastern PA, NY, NJ, DE, MD have the opportunity to take advantage of the Pride and Attention to Detail that our craftsmen integrate into all of the projects they get their hands on.

       GMTF believes that the proper installation of windows and
  exterior doors are a crucial phase of achieving Maximum Energy
  Efficiency. As with most “assembly-line” style homes, proper
  installation procedures are most often overlooked. Our crews go
  great lengths to ensure that windows and exterior doors operate
  and function properly, are insulated, sealed and flashed properly
  to prevent air and water infiltration. Blower door testing on our
  projects have proven our installation procedures to be very effective.
• Interior finishes such as Stair Cases, Cabinetry, Built-ins and Bookshelves,
  Doors, Moldings and Millwork.

Commercial & Residential Sub-Contracting:

Already have a Timber Frame, Post & Beam, or SIP Supplier and need an installation crew? Our crews have traveled nationwide and overseas to Raise Timber Frames and Install SIP Enclosures and Structures. Many nationally renowned Timber Frame and SIP Panel manufacturers continue to hire us directly, or refer us to their clients on a regular basis.  Our work ethic, reliability and attention to detail have created an extensive list of satisfied Homeowners, Frame and SIP Manufacturers, Commercial and Residential Builders Nationwide.

Our commercial project involvement has been steadily increasing over the past 5 years. Timber Frame and Glu-lam roof structures and SIP systems are becoming more and more common with Commercial, Institutional, and Light Industrial projects. Our OSHA certified crews have the skills and capabilities of handling the pre-assembly of these often monstrous structures and complicated rigging involved to raise these structures into place. General Contractor:

Need help getting your project started and out of the ground? We can help. Although we don’t prefer to deliver the finished / turn-key product, we can get you started. For the simple reason that we don’t have the time to marry ourselves to one project for an extended period of time; we prefer to keep our long term focus on who we are ... a Timber Frame company.

We have developed great relationships with various Sub-Contractors over the years, and have provided limited General Contracting services on various projects to schedule, co-ordinate and oversee the Excavation and Foundation Installation. From there, our crews can take over and provide a weather-tite shell, install all interior framing systems and have you ready for the Mechanical Contractors.
