Green Mountain Timber Frames offers complete design services using CAD and 3-D Modeling to customize your Timber Frame Home Design

Your Green Mountain home will be a hand-crafted, high quality work of art tailored to your tastes and needs. Finding the perfect location for your dream home is just the beginning. You’ll also need to determine how your home will be situated to create the best views possible, while maximizing the path of the sun, and prevailing wind direction to its highest potential. We can assist you with this important process. A site visit can be arranged for our closer to home clients.

You will also want to consider issues such as how the general layout of the home will impact your family’s traffic patterns, the way you live, and whether you prefer a one level or multi-level home. We recommend our clients look through books and magazines and collect photos of homes that inspire them.

Whether starting from scratch, rough pencil drawings, or in collaboration with your architect, we will produce a design that fits your home site, desires, and budget.

Upon entering into a preliminary design agreement ...

1. Based on the information you have provided, we prepare 2 sets of floor plans and elevations for your review. You “red-line” both sets with any changes or corrections, and return one set to us.
2. We review the changes with you, make all necessary revisions, then send two updated sets to you for your final review and approval.
3. Upon your approval of preliminary design blueprints, we will provide a quote to fabricate, deliver and erect an authentic, hand-crafted timber frame structure, and enclose it with a super energy-efficient SIPs enclosure, and any other services / building components requested such as stairs and railings, windows, exterior doors, and sub-floor framing.

All design costs will be credited toward the package price of the home.

All of our drafting and design is done using “Auto-cad” technology, assuring maximum efficiency and accuracy. The 3-D modeling capability helps our clients to better visualize the frame design.
